Dr. Bulleit's teaching interests include structural analysis, timber design, reinforced concrete design, finite elements, structural reliability, and prestressed concrete. He received the MTU Distinguished Teaching Award in 1986. Dr Bulleit's research interests include wood engineering and probabilistic methods in structural engineering. He has had professional experience designing submarines and bridges, and was involved in the design of a large diameter soft earth tunnel. He has published in such journals as Journal of Structural Engineering and Structural Safety, and also contributed to Probabilistic Mechanics and Structural and Geotechnical Reliability.
