Dr.
Griffis has degrees from the University of Vermont
and Cornell University. Her teaching interests include
probability and statistics, stochastic hydrology,
numerical methods, water resources, and risk analysis
and management. Her research interests include flood
frequency analysis and the analysis of other extreme
events, uncertainty analysis, and impacts of climate
variability, climate change, and land use changes.
Dr. Griffis is currently active in the ASCE task committee
on statistical
distributions. She has published in Water Resources
Research, and has a number of papers which will soon
appear in the Journal of Hydrologic Engineering.
