JOIN OUR GROUP

Our group is looking to recruit undergraduate, master's, and Ph.D. students that are interested in learning and conducting research in concrete pavements, materials, and sustainable development of our transportation infrastructure.

Prospective Ph.D. Students: We currently have 1-2 open graduate positions for outstanding students who are interested in pursuing a Ph.D. in civil engineering at Michigan Technological University. Funding in the form of tuition, stipend, and benefits will be available for Ph.D. students in this area through funded research projects, fellowships, and support of the MTU graduate school. Interested students are encouraged to contact me at jhiller@mtu.edu.

Prospective M.S. Students: Prospective Master's students with motivation, initiative, strong analytical/computer or laboratory skills, and previous research experience are welcomed. Funding will be available for a limited number of MS candidates. Contact me at jhiller@mtu.edu for more details.

Prospective Undergraduate Researchers: Research opportunities for undergraduates at Michigan Tech are also avilable to work on sponsored research projects. Students can get a hands-on look at conducting scientific research in transportation infrastruture-related projects, provide a great resume builder for industry or graduate work, and earn money while working to earn your bachelor's degree. Contact me at jhiller@mtu.edu for more details.
