Dr. Harris joined the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Michigan Tech in January 2008 and is the Donald F. and Rose Ann Tomasini Assistant Professor in structural engineering. His research interests focus on the use of innovative materials for civil infrastructure and the behavior and design of bridges. Dr. Harris’ research approach utilizes a combination of laboratory and field investigations and finite element modeling.
Dr. Harris is involved in the American Concrete Institute (ACI), Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute, and the National Society of Black Engineers. |
