Assignments, Examinations and Grading

There will be a homework assignment each week and will be required to be submitted within a week of assignment. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Each group will be required to develop an estimate from a set of drawings provided in class. The project will involve the following activities:

• Conducting a material take-off
• Developing a schedule
• Estimating labor and equipment requirements
• Showing up for bid-opening

There will be two examinations, one midterm and one final. The dates will be decided soon.
Tentative grading scheme is as follows:

Homeworks 		   120 points 		    6 x 20  points 		 30% 


Project 		   100 points 		    1 x 100 points 		 25% 


Midterm 		    80 points 		    1 x 80  points 		 20% 


Final 		    	    80 points 		    1 x 80  points 		 20% 


Participation 		    20 points 		    1 x 20  points		 05%

Your final grade will be equal to: (Total points you have earned)/4. You will be graded for both your individual work and your ability to work well in groups.
