International Senior Design

Senior Design Students

All civil and environmental engineering students at Michigan Tech must complete a Senior Design project as a requirement for graduation. The Senior Design project is meant to prepare students for professional practice as an engineer. Each year since 2001, Michigan Tech’s Civil and Environmental engineering Department has offered its students the opportunity to do their projects in a developing country as part of the department’s International Sustainable Engineering Initiative.
