American Society of Civil Engineers
American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) has an active student chapter at Michigan Technological University. Some of the activities that civil engineering students participate in are concrete canoe, steel bridge and timber beam design competitions.

Chi Epsilon is the National Civil Engineering Honor Society. Membership with us is a mark of excellence that is recoginzed by other Civil and Environmental Engineers, including possible employers.
Michigan Water Environment Association
The MWEA Student Chapter at Michigan Technological University is a collection of professors, graduate and undergraduate students who share in the interests of surface and groundwater quality and wastewater treatment. As a professional student organization, we aim to promote student interest in these specific areas.
Society for Environmental Engineering
The Society for Environmental Engineering (SEEn) is an organization that exists for students enrolled or interested in environmental engineering. SEEn is both a professional and social organization that is active in each respect.
ITE Institute of Transportation Engineers
is a professional society of more than 15,000 transportation engineers, planners, and other professionals in some 80 countries
SWE Society of Women Engineers
The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is a coed, all-major organization which stimulates women to achieve full potential careers as engineers and leaders,
expands the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in
improving the quality of life, and
demonstrates the value of diversity.
