American Railway Engineering and Maintenance of Way Association (AREMA)
Pasi Lautala (MTTI), Devin Harris (CEE) and eleven students in the Railroad Engineering and Activities Club participated in the annual conference of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance of Way Association (AREMA) in Chicago. Lautala presented a paper, "The Development of University Rail Transportation Certificate." Harris and graduate student Russell Lutch presented a paper, "Prestressed Concrete Ties in North America." Seven Tech students were recognized for winning AREMA scholarships.
