Dr.
Sandberg's teaching interests include timber, reinforced
concrete, and steel design. His research interests include
the behavior of elastomeric sealants, behavior of structural
glazing curtain wall systems, traditionally connected
timber frames, molded wood strand composites, durability
of pavement crank and joint sealments. Current research
projects include: Behavior of Traditionally Framed Timber
Joints, Evaluation of a Pressure Sensitive Silicone Tape
for Structural Glazing, and Development of Molded Wood
Strand Composite Products. Sandberg has published in Proceedings,
International Wood Engineering Conference, Science
and Technology of Building Seals and Sealants, Glazing
and Waterproofing: Fifth Volume, Journal of Materials
in Civil Engineering, and Forest Products Journal.
