sarahSarah Ocwieja, BS Chemical Engineering, Illinois Institute of Technology, MS planned in Environmental Engineering

Sarah Ocwieja (don't even try) has lived in the same small town in Stockbridge, Michigan her whole life. Looking for a chance to get into the big city she attended Illinois Institute of Technology in the south side of Chicago (real south side). She obtained her BS in Chemical Engineering in May 2006, and decided it would be best to continue on with school. Peace Corps had been an interest since High School so she jumped at the chance to combine the Masters with Peace Corps. While at Michigan Tech she has taken an active role in the EWB chapter and is helping plan a new project building a nutrition center in El Povenir, Honduras. Sarah is looking forward to serving in Uganda as a Community Health, Water Sanitation volunteer and has no idea what to expect which is part of the fun.
