Matt Seib, BS Civil Engineering, University of Wisconsin – Platteville, Planned MS in Environmental Engineering

Matt grew up in humble Waukesha, WI, which might be more accurately called “The Capital of the World”. He doesn’t like to lord this fact over people, but the Capital of the World being what it is... he realizes the inevitability of the situation. Aside from basking in the sheer wonder of his hometown, he spent his early years playing soccer, riding a bike WITHOUT a helmet, and watching the Discovery Channel.

Once the glory years of high school had past, he went on to study civil engineering in sleepy Platteville, WI. When he arrived he hit the ground running and immediately began filling his days with studying, playing soccer, and perfecting his skills as an expert in “Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon”. After his freshman year of college he spent five weeks in Bangladesh. The trip had a profound impact on his worldview, and caused him to change his future priorities. Now Matt finds himself living further north than he would have ever expected and is eager to begin his Peace Corps service... wherever that may be.
