Joshua Girard, BS Mechanical Engineering, Boston University, MS planned in Environmental Engineering, Graduate Certificate in Sustainability

Josh grew up in a small town in southern Maine. After high school, he decided to see what living in the city had to offer and moved to Boston University to study engineering. Studying at BU brought new perspectives and the opportunity to study abroad in Germany. Living in another country and learning a new language revived an interest in joining the Peace Corps after college. Not ready to abandon engineering for two years during the Peace Corps, he was happy to discover the MI program at Michigan Tech.
