Jack Chow was born in Taipei, Taiwan. He lived in Taipei until the age of 11, when his family moved to Singapore. Jack attended the International School of Singapore with classmates from 100 different nationalities. He spent his rebellious teenage years in Singapore until he graduated high school. During the 7 years of living in Singapore Jack has traveled extensively to Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand, experiencing great cultural diversity and incredible food. Jack came to the U.S. for college and he has lived in San Francisco, Dallas/Fort Worth, and Denver.

Jack joined the MI Environmental Engineering program because he realized a house and a garage full of toys wasn’t keeping him happy and there is potential for his knowledge and skills to make a difference in people’s lives. Jack’s background was in Aerospace engineering so everything environmental is new to him but he’s never been happier/more passionate about learning stuff in school!

In his spare time (or work time) Jack enjoys windsurfing, kitesurfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, ocean kayaking, camping, racing motorcycles, dirt biking, mountain biking, BMX, adventure traveling, tourist traveling, sampling food from every culture on earth, and trying out/experiencing new things in general. Peace Corps service will be the next chapter of adventure for Jack and it is inline with his current life philosophy: Live life to the fullest!
