Matthew Babcock

Matt joined the Master’s International program at Michigan Tech after graduating Manhattan College with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is originally from Westchester, NY. He has joined the MI program and wishes to be a Peace Corps volunteer in order to see more of the world and its people, to use his skills as an engineer to help people make a better life for themselves and to discover more about himself. His interests include issues of renewable and appropriate technology and policy, community organization and conflict resolution, world mythology and pretty much anything else he can get his hands on to read or think about. Not to mention ultimate Frisbee. His hope is for an assignment to a South American country because he has always wanted to visit there and could use the opportunity to study more Spanish. He wishes everyone the best in their various adventures.
