Financial Support
Most Graduate students in the M.S. and Ph.D. programs receive financial assistance. Several types of financial support are available.
Graduate Research Assistantships (GRAs)
provide a stipend and payment of tuition and fees for students actively conducting externally funded research.
Fellowships provide a stipend and payment of tuition and fees.
Graduate Teaching Assistantship (GTAs) support graduate students who participate in undergraduate teaching, usually in the laboratory.
For those individuals not receiving the above forms of financial assistance, scholarships and hourly employment are available.
Scholarships: Several corporations and alumni have supplied support for graduate students in the form of scholarships.
Hourly jobs are also available working in research laboratories or assisting a faculty member in grading assignments.
