Student Computer Laboratories

The
Department has excellent computing facilities for both undergraduate
and graduate student use.
The six
departmental computing laboratories, including the Thomas
J. Rentenbach CEE Computing Lab, contain well over
100 new (2005) networked computers offering the the latest in
software applications.
A
full-time professional systems administrator, two full-time
computing support specialists, and a team of student assistants
facilitate the operation of the computer laboratories. |

Most
of our labs have been outfitted with Dell OptiPlex GX280s, which
sport an Intel Pentium 4 operating at 3.4 GHz and 1GB of system
memory, are paired with 17” flat panel displays.
The Engineering
Fundamentals machines however, have a 19” monitor.
Large format printing (posters, blueprints, etc) is available.

labs 101, 203, and 211 all have printing facilities, and 211
also offers color laser printing. |
