Jerold Van Faasen '34, has a 60 year career as a Civil Engineer, was in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for 38 years; he built the Fort Peck Dam and other projects on the Missouri and Columbia Rivers, as well as Anti-Ballistic Missle projects and in WWII, served with the 109th Naval Construction Battalion at Roi-Naimur, Kwajalein Atol, Hawaii, and Guam. He has a written a book: Making It Happen A Sixty-Year Engineering Odyssey In The Northwest Kip Productions 1998

Dr. William E. Saul, a 1955 civil engineering graduate of Michigan Tech, is a Professor and Past Chairman of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Michigan State University here with Dr. Bob Baillod who recently retired as Michigan Tech CEE Chair.
