Roland A. Mariucci, Class of '58
Mr. Roland Mariucci came to Michigan Tech from Iron Mountain,
Michigan after serving three years in the Air Force. He completed
his baccalaureate degree in civil engineering in 1958. Following
graduation he spent two years working for the California Division
of Highways. In 1960 he joined Peter Kiewit & Sons, Inc.
where he was the Estimating Manager/Chief Engineer for large
construction projects. At Kiewit, Roland was involved in several
large international joint venture construction projects. Roland
retired from Kiewit in 1996, but is still involved as a consultant.
Kiewit is one of the largest general construction companies
in the world.
As
a student at Michigan Tech, Roland was a member of Kappa Delta
Psi fraterity and Blue Key. He is a member of the Michigan
Tech Hubbell Society and the Michigan Tech Fund Board of Trustees.
Roland and his wife, Jean, have been outstanding supporters
of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department. The
Mariucci's have four adult children and seven grandchildren
and reside in Omaha, Nebraska. |
